English through Traditional Games

What better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with a range of fun traditional English games. Year 3 and their English teachers spent their last lessons together enjoying English through games. Students found just how precarious it is to move a balloon using only your head together with a partner. Thankfully, we replaced the traditional egg and spoon race egg with a ping-pong ball. It was much nicer to hear the bounce of ping-pong balls than eggs crashing on the floor. Students showed their strength in the three person wheelbarrow race. Whilst spinning a hula hoop around your waist seems like such an easy thing to do, the students found it is much more difficult than it looks. Why don't you try and practise some of these games over the holiday! Enjoy!
