Traditional English Games Day

The English Country Fair came to Işık Primary School on Wednesday as we decided to have fun and celebrate the end of the academic year with some typical games you would see at a country fair or sports day. The students enjoyed competing in the egg and spoon race (although we substituted the egg for a tennis ball!) and mustered all their strength for the wheelbarrow race. We couldn't leave the hula hoop out as we had relay races flipping the hoop over our head and tried to see who could swivel it around their waist for the longest time. The students thought of ingenius ways to transport a balloon from one side of the gym to the other without using their hands.

Today's activity was all about having fun and saw English transcend beyond the classroom.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the year three students for working so hard throughout the year and wish you all a happy and safe holiday.
